Summer 'A' tryouts - Junior division

Hello everyone,

Thank you all for a great spring season, which is quickly coming to an end. Playoffs will begin next week and our summer season will begin the week of June 29th. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that we are accepting registration for Summer ball on line in case you missed in person registration on Saturday, June 13th.

What follows is some information regarding tryout dates and times for the Competitive 'A' team as well as expectations of players for this summer program. This info is provided by the Summer 'A' coach.

Parents & Players: As coach of the Junior ‘A’ summer team I have been asked to inform all potential players and their parents of the commitment required of players selected for the Junior ‘A’ summer team. I will have the team selected by the week of June 21-26. We will then begin the preparation required to field the best possible representative of East Nepean Little League in the Junior District playdowns. We will practice and or play games an average of 4-5 times per week up to the District Tournament on July 17. We are currently entered in tournaments on June 26-28 in Cornwall and July 3-5 in Orleans. Playing time during District and Provincial playdowns follows Little League guidelines and is not equal for all players. Once the playdowns are completed I will do my best to play all players equally. We will at this point be at the park 3-4 times per week. We will hopefully be entered in 2 tournaments in August and compete in summer league play. There will be an additional cost of approximately $125 per player above the league registration fee. Summer 'B' ball will include 2 games and 1 or 2 practices per week and may include some tournaments as well. As soon as the 'A' team has been decided we will be able to put together our 'B' team or teams.
