Rally Cap

East Nepean Baseball Association is excited to announce a new enhanced baseball program for our youngest of players aged 4, 5, and 6 for the 2025 Baseball season.

Commencing in Spring 2025, ENBA will be launching Rally Cap Baseball. Rally Cap is based on the principles of learning fundamental skills and having fun. Rally Cap allows for players to play games along with time to practice skills.

Structure of the program:
On any field there will be 3-4 teams, two teams will engage in a short game of 2-3 innings (with all players batting) while the other team(s) will practice fundamental skills in the field. Then after 30-40 minutes, the teams rotate so that all teams will participate in mini games along with an opportunity to practice.
Scores are not kept for these games.

When and where is the program offered:
Rally Cap baseball will be offered in the spring playing season in the months of May and June.
Players will play on 1 night a week, either Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday, commencing at 6pm. Game nights will be assigned closer to the start of the season.

The program will be run on local Nepean Diamonds.

Age Bracket:
The program is offered to players aged 4-6 as defined by the Little League age chart for the 2025 baseball season.

What does a player need to play?
When registering to play Rally Cap, a player will be expected to have with them for the start of the season the following items:

  • Black helmet
  • Baseball glove
  • Running shoes or plastic cleats
  • Jock/Jill

All players will receive the following items from the league:

  • Toronto Blue Jays Cap - to be kept by the player
  • T-Shirt - to be kept by the player
  • Pants - to be returned to the league at end of the season
  • Belt - to be returned to the league at the end of the season
  • Socks - to be kept by the player

The league will supply bats and balls for the program, these items remain property of the league.

Volunteers Required:
As with all programs at East Nepean, Rally Cap will require volunteers to assist with the team and work with players. This is a great time to get involved and help kids develop their baseball skills. If you do not think you have the necessary level of baseball knowledge, the league has programs in place that can help with that. There are lots of resources available to volunteers to help guide them in preparing for practices and mini games.

Volunteers are key to the success of this program. Unfortunately, if we do not get enough volunteers, we will have to limit teams.

If interested in volunteering or to learn more about the program, please contact registration at registration@eastnepeanbaseball.ca
