Over the coming weeks, East Nepean Little League will be introducing the coaches selected to lead our 2026 All Star teams at the Minor, Major, Junior, and Senior levels. We are proud to recognize the dedication, experience, and passion these coaches bring to our program.

MINOR DIVISION

Mike Prins – Minor All Star Coach

East Nepean Little League is pleased to announce Mike Prins as the 2026 Minor All Star Coach.

Mike brings five years of experience volunteering and assisting with coaching at East Nepean. A lifelong baseball player, he has also contributed to the development of young athletes through hockey, volunteering on-ice over the past three seasons and coaching a spring hockey team.

His commitment to youth sports and player development is evident across all levels he supports. For the upcoming season, Mike’s goal is to foster a strong love of the game—creating an environment where players are excited to return and continue their baseball journey year after year.

MAJOR DIVISION

Steven Cote – Major All Star Coach

East Nepean Little League is excited to welcome back Steven Cote as the 2026 Major All Star Coach.

Steven returns for his second consecutive year leading the Major All Star team. His recent track record speaks for itself: as Minor All Star Coach in 2023 and 2024, he led his team to a D2/D6 Championship and the 2024 Ontario Little League Provincial Championship. In 2025, as Major All Star Coach, he guided his team to another D2/D6 Championship and a strong performance at Provincials.

With extensive experience as a player, umpire, and coach, Steven has been a dedicated volunteer with East Nepean for several years. His coaching background spans Rookie, Minor, and Major divisions at the Canadian level, along with All Star experience including Head Coach of the 11-year-old All Star team (2020) and Assistant Coach for the 2022 Major All Stars.

Heading into 2026, Steven aims to build on past success and compete for a Major Provincial Championship.

JUNIOR DIVISION

David Hall – Junior All Star Coach

East Nepean Little League is pleased to announce David Hall as the 2026 Junior All Star Coach.

Dave brings nine years of coaching experience across Rookie, Minor, and Major divisions at both the Canadian and All Star levels. His teams have achieved significant success, including:

D2/D26 All-Star Championship

D2/D6/D8 Canadian-level Championships (x2)

Deep run at the 2025 Major Provincial Tournament

Multiple tournament wins and finals appearances

In addition, Dave has been a key contributor to East Nepean’s winter development programs for over five seasons, helping players strengthen their skills, teamwork, and dedication to the game.

As he looks ahead to the 2026 season, Dave is focused on building a motivated team culture, refining player skills, and continuing to inspire a passion for baseball.

SENIOR DIVISION

East Nepean Little League is pleased to announce Paul Robert as the 2026 Senior All-Star Coach.

 Coach Paul brings 15 years of coaching experience, with 7 as a coach or assistant coach in East Nepean. Paul also has experience from managing in the NCBL and working on their league executive committee highlighting his commitment to baseball in Ottawa over the years.

Coach Paul believes a successful team is built on accountability and effort. Dedication to a strong work ethic and being a good teammate generates success in more than just sport, and will be at the core of this year’s senior team. 

With a long experience of pitching himself, player safety (especially pitching arm health) is a priority.

As Coach Paul looks ahead to 2026, his focus is on developing skilled, confident players ready to compete at districts and beyond.
